Join a subsidiary of one of the leading sustainable energy services in Kenya. As a Solar Sales Representative, you’ll play a crucial role in promoting and selling solar PV systems.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include:

1. Customer Interaction: You’ll be the first point of contact for potential customers
interested in solar energy. You’ll provide them with information about our products
and explain the benefits of going solar.
2. Product Knowledge: You’ll need to have a solid understanding of solar PV systems,including how they work, their components, and their environmental impact. This knowledge will help you effectively communicate with customers and address their questions.
3. Sales and Lead Generation: You’ll actively seek out potential clients, generate leads, and qualify prospects. This involves networking, attending industry events, and leveraging existing contacts.
4. Consultative Selling: You’ll assess customers’ needs, evaluate their energy
consumption patterns, and recommend customized solar solutions. You’ll explain
the financial benefits, environmental impact, and long-term savings associated with solar installations.
5. Customer Servicing: You’ll manage the customers and sales process from initial contact through project completion. This includes coordinating with installation team to keep client informed on project status, handling paperwork (such as contracts), collections, and ensuring a smooth transition for the customer.
6. Relationship Building: Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers is essential. You’ll follow up after installations, address any concerns, and provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

Experience: Ideally, you’ll have 1-2 years of experience in solar system sales or a related field.
Knowledge: A background in solar PV systems, renewable energy, or electrical engineering is beneficial.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for explaining complex technical information to customers.
Self-Motivation: As a self-employed consultant, you’ll need to be proactive, motivated, and results-driven.
Flexibility: The role will involve travel within Kenya and outside Kenya Remember, this position is often commission-based, so your earnings will depend on your ability to close deals and meet targets.
