Spenomatic Solar Home Solutions is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Solar Sales Consultant to join our growing renewable energy team in Kenya.
This role is ideal for someone who understands solar PV systems and enjoys working directly with customers to deliver tailored energy solutions.
1. Customer Interaction
As the first point of contact, you will engage with potential clients interested in solar energy solutions.
You will:
Provide clear information about our solar products
Explain the benefits of switching to solar
Answer customer questions with confidence and clarity
Your ability to build trust from the first conversation is critical.
2. Strong Product Knowledge
A solid understanding of solar PV systems is essential.
You should be familiar with:
How solar panels generate electricity
Key system components (inverters, batteries, controllers)
Energy storage solutions
Environmental benefits of renewable energy
This knowledge enables you to guide customers toward informed decisions.
3. Sales and Lead Generation
In this Solar Sales Consultant Kenya role, you will actively generate and qualify leads.
Responsibilities include:
Networking with potential clients
Attending industry events
Following up on referrals
Identifying new business opportunities
Your goal is to convert prospects into long-term clients.
4. Consultative Selling Approach
This is not just sales — it’s advisory.
You will:
Assess client energy consumption patterns
Evaluate property suitability for solar
Recommend customized solar solutions
Explain cost savings and return on investment

5. Customer Service & Project Coordination
You will manage the customer journey from the first consultation to project completion.
This includes:
Coordinating with installation teams
Keeping clients updated on progress
Managing contracts and documentation
Overseeing collections and payments
Your role ensures a smooth and professional experience.
6. Relationship Building
Long-term success depends on strong client relationships.
After installation, you will:
Follow up with customers
Address concerns
Ensure satisfaction
Encourage referrals
Excellent customer service is key to repeat business and brand growth.
Qualifications
Experience: Ideally, you’ll have 1-2 years of experience in solar system sales or a related field.
• Knowledge: A background in solar PV systems, renewable energy, or electrical engineering is beneficial.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for explaining complex technical information to customers.
• Self-Motivation: As a self-employed consultant, you’ll need to be proactive, motivated, and results-driven.
• Flexibility: The role will involve travel within Kenya and outside Kenya Remember, this position is often commission-based, so your earnings will depend on your ability to close deals and meet targets.
